This Bottle Rides Six Flags Magic Mounta...

I recently took my bottle for a ride. Actually, we went on 9 rides in five hours at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. I love rollercoasters even though I have to take Dramamine to survive them. Magic Mountain has some of the best coasters in the country and X2 is by far the scariest ride I've ever been on. I'm not even sure I want to go on it again it is so scary. Have you seen this ride? Check out the youtube videos other people have posted.

To be truthful, X2 was the only ride I didn't actually take the bottle on to make sure I didn't drop it. All the other rides I was able to securely keep the bottle in my pocket and clipped to my belt loop via the caribeener strap (the new strap is now available on our store).

My favorite ride is now Tatsu because it simulates flying. You are strapped into this hanging chair where you face forward like Superman and 'fly' with the rollercoaster. It is exactly what being Superman or Iron Man must be like. Very Cool!

If you want to save money at Magic Mountain, here's what we did.

    1. If you are a AAA member, go to AAA.com and search for their discount coupon for $27 tickets (otherwise, visit Six Flags online and buy your tickets online for only $34.99).

    2. Bring a Ech2o filtered water bottle in with you. Filling up your own filtered water bottle will save you $3.75 every time you fill up and you'll always have water with you.

    Enjoy the ride!

Saving Money Where Ever I Go!

Ever since I've got my bottle, I've been keeping my wallet full whenever I go to a theme park, concert or outdoor event. I love my bottle for two reasons at these types of events: 1. I lets me drink as much water as I want without concern of spending my money and 2. I save around $3-4 every time I fill up my bottle (becuase water at these types of events are so dang expensive!). I wish everybody could know about our awesome product so we could all save money and reduce our plastic bottle usage.

I just recently went to the Vans Warped Tour. There really isn't another venue or concert experience I've had that was more unique. There were about seven stages scattered across some bare lot where twenty-five bands were playing. My ears were in heaven, but my dry mouth and over-heated body weren't. I saw people buying two or three plastic bottles at $3 because they didn't want to drink from the contaminated tap/bathroom water. Fortunately for me, I brought my bottle and saved $12 just by refilling my bottle with the tap/bathroom water. Even though it was contaminated, clean and filtered water came out of my bottle. I couldn't help but grin when people, who had spent $3 on plastic bottled water, watched me fill up my bottle with free water. Saving money plus having clean water really made my concert experience more enjoyable and refreshing!

A Message From Our First Canadian Twitter Customer...

We received this letter today from @ShadowMistris who purchased a few filtered bottles and took them with her to Ireland. This is EXACTLY why the bottles are so essential... even if you do trust the water most of the time.

    Hi Richard,

My sister and I recently came back from two weeks in Ireland. While the water there is fine to drink, I must say I'm very happy we took our bottles with us! In some areas the water doesn't taste that great, and with the bottles that problem dissappears! I did what you suggested and had the bottle in my carry on (empty) to go through security in the airports, and for the most part, there was no problem (even in the 3 security checkpoints in London Heathrow). However, I will warn you that in Chicago they almost dissected the filter before they were ok with it (I even gave them the tag to show them it was really a filter and I wasn't making it up - lol). In the end, it was fine, but just so you know there still may be a few security hiccups. Anyway, the bottles work great! Thanks for all your work in getting orders from Canada to go through!

I've attached a pic of the bottle in the train at a stop in Ireland, but unfortunately its a little dark.

    Have a great weekend, Lisa

Thanks for the email Lisa! Glad to hear that your trip was made a little better with the Ech2o filtered bottle.

PS. For people who take their filtered bottle through security, if security needs to see the filter, the cap at the end of the straw does come off to show the filter.

"Don't Drink The Water In Mexico"

If you've ever travelled to Mexico, or at least live in Southern California, someone has probably told you about Montezuma's Revenge. That's the so-called revenge of an ancient Aztek king named Moctezuma (1466-1520) who was defeated by the Spanish Conquistador, Hernan Cortes. But enough with the history lesson, the truth is if you drink the water in Mexico you risk getting traveller's diarrhea.

The primary cause of this condition is due to drinking water that is fecally contaminated. The actual agents include E. coli, giardia, Cryptosporidium, salmonella and others. To avoid this problem, you should drink filtered water when travelling abroad (including ice).

Better yet, you should filter your own water with a stainless steel filtered water bottle. Having a portable bottle made of food-grade stainless steel means that the water will not be tainted with any taste or toxins, and the bottle is very durable. The filter in the Ech2o bottle has a world-class filter that eliminates up to 99.99% of the agents that cause Montezuma's Revenge!

Check out the pictures of our latest world travellers in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who didn't even trust the bottled water! You can see in one of the pictures a plastic bottle that they received and immediately poured into their Ech2o bottles. May your travels be all about fun and less about revenge.
